Mountain Medicine
I was an international mountaineering guide for 25 years. The mountains helped me cope with my ADHD and taught me skills to make it my superpower. My entry into the world of guiding the highest peaks was a humble one, and I had to earn my passage through hard work and sacrifice. Through this practice, I taught many people, and it was here that I became interested in the psychology we all share. Guiding is very similar to therapy. It can be unpredictable, uncomfortable, and exciting. One of my accomplishments involved guiding clients to the summit of the highest mountains on each of the seven continents.
